I have a Dell Optiplex 380. I went to the site support.dell.com and I didn't get too far. I tried the Broadcom_57XX-contro_A07_R296613 and it didn't work.
I assumed it was not a bad network port. I thought maybe, I could extract the driver file and get the essential driver files only. Then, I could try to install the driver manually in device manager. I tried that and it worked.

The closest I got was with the' Realtek' Ethernet controller Driver for Vista and later. But I don't think it is Realek. My guess it's broadcom. I saw someone put a whole CAB file that was like 1gb that was compressed with a bunch of drivers but I struggled with that.

However, when we went to image the Dell Optiplex 380's we had they would boot to PXE, but then could not find the network driver. The error message we get states the following: 'WDSClient: An error occurred while starting networking: a matching network card driver was not found in this image. PLease have your Administrator add the network driver for this machine to the windows PE image on the Windows Deployment Services server' The steps we took to try and resolve this so far was to obviously search the web with technet articles etc, with very little success. I did notice that some people were having similar issues specifically with the 380, and their 'work arounds' did not solve our problem. Also, we went ahead and added the specific network driver for the 380 to the boot image through SCCM still with no success. Please see the image I attached as per adding the driver to the boot image. Lastly, I should state that all the drivers that we downloaded and driver packages we created on SCCM came directly from: Any help would be greatly appreciated, as school starts in a month and all our machines in our district are imaged BUT the 380's.

Right, I've had the deployment for Windows 7 working on all of the machines in the school (Optiplex 760's, SX280's, 755's D520's etc.) Now we have a new Optiplex 380 in so we try and deploy W7 to that and this is what happens after clicking on 'Install new OS ' I've downloaded the Network drivers from the Dell website and injected them into the share. I had also read that it may be a problem with the machine being too quick and not waiting for the DHCP to catch up so I also have a script that delays that a bit. None of these things are working and I'm starting to rage. It seems like the driver isn't installed but i've injected and reinjected the network drivers in and it doesn't make any difference.

N.B I used DISM rather than Imagex as the latter seemed to cause my PC to crash and burn each time. This was the best thing I saw all day yesterday: Note: I changed the Solution Accelerators banner at the bottom as those guys were far too happy. Did you rebuild the deployment share and PXEboot WIM image after adding the drivers and then re-add the newly compiled WIM boot image with the drivers back to WDS. This caught me out the first time I did it to as it is not automatic and will keep using the old image without the drivers till you re-add the newer WIM image.This is what it ended up being for us. Even though MDT recreates the boot image you still need to go into WDS and replace the boot image there as well.
